What's New?
For years I've been trying to find a way to distribute the Cawcutt, Folliott and Resch records, pictures and documentation so that if/when I fall off the twig or some other personal catastrophe befalls me it's not lost forever. That was the original reason for the web site however there are limitations to what I can publish on the internet due to privacy considerations so I have distributed to a number of cousins my Cawcutt/Folliott records on a USB flash drive. It was necessary to do it this way as the records consisted of a lot of images making it to big to attach to an email. The total size now is about 520 MB and growing.
The idea is that in the event that I can't continue maintaining the Cawcutt/Folliott records there is at least copies out there that can be used in the future by anyone who has an interest in carrying on the work.
For the last 40 odd years I’ve been gathering information from my Mum Peggy Resch (nee Cawcutt), assorted aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, assorted authorities and internet searching, so now, as at January 2024 my records contain 1146 related individuals and it’s still not complete, people will keep having babies, marrying and dying and I have had to try and keep up with that.
Of those 1146 related individuals 500 odd are Folliotts, their partners and descendants. The information of those about 500 were compiled and distributed by Mary Oram (nee Folliott) from Winnipeg, Canada.
Unfortunately it contains the birth and some married dates of living people so I can’t distribute it as is. There are going to be people who would like to access the information in this and olther documents but I can’t see how this is possible without breaking some privacy rules.
To alleviate this problem on this site the current Cawcutt/Folliott records are available for download as a GEDCOM file however a password is required to access them. Contact me here to get a password. If I don't know you you will need to explain your interest in the records before I send you a password.
How You Can Help
The site needs to grow so if you have pictures, documents like birth, death or marriage certificates let me have copies of them and I’ll publish them. The pictures and documents must be of the deceased persons unless you have permission from the individuals concerned that the information can be published.
Pictures of individuals like portraits are best but good quality family groups are usable, I can usually extract individuals from a group picture when I need a portrait of that person for their record.
